JTJ Booking & Cancellation Policy

At JTJ, we are committed to excellence, flexibility, and transparency. To ensure the highest level of service for our guests and partners, the following terms apply to all bookings.

1. Confirmations & Payments

  • Deposit Requirement: No tour, package, or service is confirmed until a deposit or payment has been received.
  • Availability: If a requested hotel is unavailable, JTJ reserves the right to offer an alternative hotel of a similar quality and the same star rating.
  • Pricing & Currency: Quotes are based on current exchange rates. JTJ reserves the right to adjust final pricing in the event of significant currency fluctuations or tax increases prior to final payment.

2. Itineraries & Service Delivery

  • Guiding Principles: Itineraries are guides and suggestions. We try to keep as much as we can, but sometimes for reasons out of our control, they may change.
  • Combined Services: In the event of events out of our control, private tours may be combined to ensure the service can still be delivered.
  • Punctuality: Japan operates on strict schedules. JTJ is not responsible for missed entries or transport due to guest tardiness. No-shows are charged at 100% and are non-refundable.

3. Cancellation & Refund Schedule

We offer a responsive refund policy while accounting for the high demand for Japanese travel services:

  • Full Tour Packages:
    • 21+ Days Notice: Full refund minus a $150 USD administration fee.
    • 14–20 Days Notice: 50% refund minus a $150 USD administration fee.
    • Under 14 Days Notice: 0% refund available.
  • Day Tours: Fully refunded with more than 24 hours' notice.
  • Partial Refunds: Refunds are not available after a tour has started. This includes early departures or unused portions of a multi-day itinerary.
  • Exclusions: Refunds are not available for discounted sale items or group bookings.

4. Logistics & Conduct

  • Luggage: Standard transfers include space for one large suitcase and one carry-on per person. Excess luggage requiring an additional vehicle or courier services (Takkyubin) will be at the guest's expense.
  • Conduct & Safety: We love our business and the local culture we share. JTJ reserves the right to remove any participant from a tour without a refund if their conduct is disruptive, unsafe, or violates local customs.
  • Insurance: We strongly recommend all guests purchase comprehensive travel insurance to cover unexpected medical emergencies or lost property.

5. Our Commitment

We are flexible, responsive, and we love our business. We pride ourselves on being the most reliable "boots on the ground" in the Japanese market. If you need to make an amendment, please contact your JTJ representative immediately and we will do our best to assist.
